James is responsible for sponsorship sales in several events at GSMI as well as new business development. In his current role, James is in charge of growing and maintaining client sponsor relations in new and existing GSMI conferences. Additionally, James works to identify and execute potential conference opportunities in new and emerging markets. Next spring, James will be leading an effort to launch the first GSMI event in Latin America, SMSS Mexico City.

Prior to GSMI, James worked as U.S. Sales Manager, Latin America at E.J. Krause & Associates, one of the largest privately-held exhibition companies. There, he developed trade shows and exhibitions in over five countries worldwide. Prior to E.J. Krause, James worked for the American Chamber of Commerce in Mexico to help facilitate trade and development between the United States and Mexico.

James loves to travel and explore. A transplant from Washington D.C., he is eager to seek out new adventures on the Pacific West Coast. James likes to stay active and enjoys spending time skiing, hiking and running and will never say no to a new experience (especially surfing, which is his new endeavor, albeit a failing one).

James holds a BS in International Business from Elon University.
